History Bible 12 | THE STORY OF CHRIST
A series of features that aims to demonstrate the reliability of the Bible’s references, for the sake of which Biblical Archaeology was created.
Jesus of Nazareth is a figure who has become a controversial figure in our modern society. There are as many opinions as there are books that have been published about him since the 19th century. The number of books that have been written about Jesus, according to some estimates, exceeds 2,000!
But who is Jesus? Is he a well-crafted myth or a historical figure? Was he a social revolutionary, a religious radical, or someone who simply founded a new religion? What do the existing ancient historical sources testify to? What do the Gospels show? History or Myth?
It is noteworthy to note that despite the general impression, it is not only the narratives of the four Gospels and the rest of the New Testament that testify to Jesus Christ. Historical information is provided by both Gentile and Jewish authors.
The Gospel of Diatessaron is used as a basis and every historical and archaeological element is highlighted.
