What exactly is my Greek Bible?
This project started based on a dream to allow English-speaking readers to come as close as possible to the original text of the New Testament without studying the Greek language. We aimed to present the great story of Jesus, in an authentic yet presentable easy form. Because up to 50,000 words in the English language have a Greek origin along with 40,000 Latin words that also have Greek origin, we can safely say that English speakers do know Greek. Therefore, in the translated English text of the New Testament, we have substituted thousands of words with original Greek expressions while using Latin transliteration of the Greek script. This way we make it easier for readers to pronounce and read the words used in the original Greek text. Description of each word is included within the text on every page and repetition of its use can be tracked easily as well. We wanted to prepare a version of the New Testament for any reader who wants to come closer to the Greek text in which the greatest story of all time was recorded.
